Hi, I’m Melissa. I’ve been married to my husband, John, for over 30 years. Together we raised four sons, and now I get to enjoy the blessing of daughters-in-law and a growing tribe of grandbabies. They call me Lolli, and honestly, there’s nothing more precious to me than family. These days, family gatherings are a mix of joyful chaos, running after toddlers, stepping over lots of dogs, and belly laughs. I love to laugh—John thinks I’m funny…my sons, not so much.

I’m also the owner of a coffee shop—a midlife adventure where I went from a SAHM to a businesswoman. I also enjoy sunrises, exercise, vacations, green juice, and slow walks with friends.

My love for writing began with my first inductive Bible study. It was a used Colossians workbook, and I was instantly hooked. But as I worked through it, I noticed some missing questions—things I wanted to dig deeper into. Like my grandkids say, “But why?” That hunger to understand led me to start creating my own worksheets, and my sons—bless them—were my first test group. We’d sit around the table doing what they called Summer School. My boys and I learned a lot about inductive Bible study, even as a dozen colored pencils rolled off the table day after day.

Today, I write study guides for women because I believe deeply in cultivating a love and discipline for God’s Word. There’s nothing more exciting to me than helping women grow in their knowledge of and affection for the Lord. I love, love, love digging into Scripture with other women—small group Bible studies are my absolute favorite.

Romans 1:5 explains the why behind everything I write: …to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name… That’s the heartbeat of this ministry: helping women walk in obedience and joy because they know the Word—and the One who gave it.
