Prayer is not the last resort when all else fails; it is our first defense and offense as we offer up intercessory prayers for our grandchildren. It is an opportunity to enter the throne room of God on behalf of the children of our sons and daughters (biological or spiritual), so they will fear the Lord and know and grow in the gospel of grace.
