Elisha persevered by faith and kept repeating God's reliable word, teaching the sons of the prophets, and proclaiming truth to the nation of Israel. Like Elijah, Elisha did not succumb to his godless surroundings but stayed firm in his faith in pursuit of obeying the Lord.
